You're Invited: AYS Fall Concert

Welcome Fall with beautiful and inspiring symphonic music broadcast into your home. American Youth Symphony, headquartered in El Segundo, will stream a fall concert on the AYS YouTube Channel on Sunday November 1 from 4-7pm. Maestro Carlos Izcaray and 45 talented AYS musicians will present a full program of powerful music featuring pieces from Igor Stravinsky, Jessie Montgomery, Benjamin Britten, and a new piece by AYS’s own music director, Maestro Izcaray.
The concert promises to be a memorable and unique experience, with 23 wind and brass musicians recording their parts from home, a percussion trio performing in a warehouse, and 19 string players making a triumphant return to Royce Hall.
The broadcast will be free for all to enjoy on November 1, 2020, at 4pm. Registration is required, and donations are welcome. After the broadcast, the concert video will be available on-demand for one year in the AYS Member Portal.
Registrants for the November 1 show may also purchase a gourmet catered meal or a watch-party snack pack to enjoy on concert day. The meal, prepared by chef Maxine Banks, will be beautifully packaged and delivered to locations in the Los Angeles area on November 1.
