This Thursday: ESMoA's "The Truth About Thanksgiving" Evening Discussion

Join ESMoA this Thursday evening for a dynamic conversation around the untruths and facts about the Thanksgiving holiday.

Shannon Speed, professor of anthropology and director of UCLA’s American Indian Studies Research Center, and Desiree Martinez, Tongva Educator & Indigenous Archaeologist, will lead a talk at ESMoA this Thursday night exploring the history and myth of Thanksgiving.

The discussion will focus on sharing Indigenous perspectives that tend to be absent from conventional history books. The conversation has been organized by MATRIARCHS co-curator Jaclyn Roessel.

Admission is FREE.
