The program, dubbed "The Pick-Up," is available to all tenants and customers of The Point who are looking for "comfortable, alternate ways to return to shopping at The Point's businesses," writes Collette Navarrette of The Point's owner and operator, Federal Realty.
"The Pick-Up expands on an already popular curbside pick-up program that was rolled out for restaurants at the start of the COVID-19 mandatory closings," Collette explains. As part of this latest development, customers will be able to place orders directly with retail stores at The Point by phone or online, and arrange for same day pick-up or pick-up on a more convenient date.
"The Pick-Up curbside pick-up offering has been a great way to continue to serve our guests conveniently, safely, and seamlessly during this time. We've missed having our guests dine in store with us, but have loved getting to serve them for curbside pick-up for now,” says Kaitlin Kan of Mendocino Farms, an eatery at The Point.
Federal Realty, which owns and operates both The Point and Plaza El Segundo, expects to grow The Pick-Up at both locations, with plans to expand on the service in response to the changes in customer shopping habits.
