El Segundo Rotary Club honors high-school artists in the categories of visual art, dance, and speech
Our city is home to so many artistic and creative youth, and a select few of them were recently celebrated in the categories of visual art, speech, and dance by Rotary Club of El Segundo.
On February 21 and 28, local high-school students were honored and awarded prize money by Rotarians Wayne Mularz, Dickie van Breene, and Melissa Albers for their winning entries to Rotary’s Arts Contest. Visual Arts winners were Sophia Andrade (first; her work is this month’s cover), Rachel Giverink (second), and Max Sexton (third). Speech winners were Michael Lynch (first), Ivan Chizon (second), and Ally Parker (third). Dance winners were Jennifer Arantes (first), Uma Clemenceau and Samantha Maxwell (as a pair, second), and Alyssa Hubler (third).
