El Segundo Concert Band To Perform Live This Month

The free concert takes place March 19th at 7pm and is themed around springtime and a celebration of Earth.

El Segundo Concert Band, under the leadership of president, music director, and conductor Steven Allen Fox, returns to the El Segundo Performing Arts Center (inside El Segundo High School) for its first live performance for the community in two years. The concert, scheduled for Saturday, March 19, is titled "Let Earth Ring" and will include "Adventures of Earth" from the movie E.T., "Baba Yetu" from the video game Civilization IV, "The National Geographic Theme," "Theme from Star Trek: First Contact," and more.

The concert was in fact originally planned for mid-March of 2020 but was forced to cancel because of the COVID-19 pandemic. "We are extremely excited to return on March 19 to the El Segundo Performing Arts Center," says Steven Allen Fox, "not only to once again perform for the public, but to bring back to life the concert that never happened. Please join us and enjoy an evening of great music and stress-free entertainment with all of us and the community."
